Heat Relief Outreach with KSO
Since June 1, the Korean Service Organization (KSO) has been holding weekly heat relief outreach events every Sunday in downtown Bakersfield. With temperatures often reaching 100°F, we set up tents with misters, fans, and cold water to provide a safe place for those experiencing homelessness.
Through these ongoing efforts, we have served close to 100 people, offering not only relief from the heat but also dignity, care, and human connection. It has been an amazing experience to connect with our neighbors and serve those in need.
